Chatswood Golf Club took an innovative approach in designing the new course to meet the needs of both existing club members and new members. The setting for Watermark Residences is idyllic –perched high on the escarpment of a natural bowl, with lush fairways and surrounding native vegetation. The vision for the landscaping of the new Chatswood Golf Course is to provide recreational amenity and a sense of serenity for residents.
A dramatically beautiful golf course provides the focus for views from the retirement residences, with ponds, water features, manicured turf and beautiful landscaping. Industry leading golf facilities are immediately accessible, including a natural turf putting course based on the famous ‘Himalayas’ putting course at St Andrews in Scotland and a high-tech short driving range for golf practice using the latest ball-tracking software.
To build on the heritage of Chatswood Golf Club, Neil and his team reimagined the course to retain as much of the existing vegetation as possible. At the same time, they pioneered a move to an innovative, low-maintenance 12-hole course, with the capacity to play 18 holes. Whether you choose to play a short game or spend a whole day on the course is up to you.
